IT’S O.K. TO CRY (PODCAST)

February 6th, 2020

Recently, a mourner at Rabbi Dunner’s synagogue told him that she had found herself weeping after the loss of her mother and was very puzzled by it.

“Why am I crying,” she asked the rabbi, “after all, I knew my mother was dying – and frankly, after years of illness and disability, she’s in a much better place now, with no more pain or suffering. So why the crying?”

In this podcast, Rabbi Dunner demonstrates how a similar question regarding Moses’ reaction on the shores of the Red Sea reveals the answer to this intriguing question.
