TREASURES FROM THE RABBI’S LIBRARY – SEASON 3, EPISODE 4

December 17th, 2021

A range of fascinating vignettes from Rabbi Dunner’s collection of Judaica and Hebraica, beginning with a pamphlet about the Tosfos Yomtov by one of the greatest rabbinic scholars of the twentieth century, followed by information about a controversial Bnei Brak rabbi and a forged letter that was publicized that criticized him for a controversial halakhic ruling.

Rabbi Dunner then introduces a recent book by and about a forgotten European rabbi with ties to the Bobover Rebbe. A pamphlet regarding a local fight in Meah Shearim involving the infamous Moshe Hirsch is followed by two rare photographs of Rav Kook’s yeshiva in Jerusalem during the 1920s.
