THE POWER OF LOVE (PODCAST)

Rabbi Dunner cites a fascinating story from the Talmud about a hapless young man in love, and how his father, the great Rabbi Yehudah Hanassi, told him that his behavior in love was no different to God, as evidenced by the change of plan regarding the construction of a Temple, which should only have been built in Jerusalem, but was preempted by the construction of a Mishkan in the Sinai Wilderness, a process initiated in Parshat Terumah.

But while the analogy is charming, how exactly is it not blasphemy to compare God to a young man in love? Rabbi Dunner explains.
