Rabbi Pini Dunner is a sought-after voice on Jewish history, ethics, and contemporary affairs — available for interviews, speaking engagements, and scholar-in-residence programs.
Short Biography
Rabbi Pini Dunner is the Senior Rabbi of Beverly Hills Synagogue in California. Born in London in 1970 to Holocaust survivor parents, he is descended from over a millennium of European Jewish scholarship — including the medieval luminary Rashi and the revered Maharal of Prague.
After training in rabbinical seminaries in the U.K., U.S., and Israel, Rabbi Dunner served as Assistant Rabbi at Moscow's iconic Choral Synagogue before returning to London, where in 1998 he founded the Saatchi Synagogue — an innovative congregation for young Jewish professionals in London's West End. In the late 1990s he hosted a daily two-hour radio program on London's Spectrum Radio, reaching tens of thousands of listeners with interviews spanning senior British and Israeli politicians, community leaders, and academics.
Since 2011 Rabbi Dunner has been based in Beverly Hills, where he serves on the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America and on the board of the Israel Christian Nexus. He is an acknowledged expert on antiquarian Hebrew books and manuscripts, consulted by libraries, auction houses, and private collectors worldwide. He is the author of four books and the editor of a fifth.
